Hyundai is taking a second Tucson to this year’s SEMA
show, but unlike its Bisimoto-prepared crossover cousin, Rockstar Performance
Garage lifts this Tucson to new heights -- literally.
The folks at Rockstar got their hands a 2016 Hyundai Tucson
and threw on a 6-inch lift to make it off-road ready. Of course, it being SEMA,
a massive lift on a crossover SUV won't be enough to impress anyone, so
Rockstar also pumps up the rest of the suspension to make sure it's more than
just your average mall crawler: King Shocks 2.5-inch adjustable coilover struts
sit up front, and 2.5-inch adjustable remote-reservoir shocks support the rear.
In addition to the monster lift, Rockstar employs a Black Ops body kit so that
the ultra-knobby 32-inch tall Mickey Thompson tires fit under the body.
